Well, I screwed up! SoS III was coming and I had put plenty of time aside to work on what I thought would eventually become a neat little tune for the compilation. But my initial creative nightly sessions were followed by a series of mishaps and lack of ideas, I basically drove the project into a dead-zone and it just didn't sound right to me. Long story short, the official deadline for SoS III approached and I started to panic! I wanted to make sure that I submit something meaningful and not some half-assed attempt. So I took the remaining time and poured my heart into finalizing a track I've composed way back in 2008, for my then-to-be personal album that I still haven't released today!

A little fun fact: my song "Ashita No Taiyo" is from that very same era and album, it too ended up on a SoS compilation three years ago. See a pattern there? Anyway, "The Crystal Fragments" is a very personal piece of mine that I'm very proud and maybe a little anxious to be finally sharing with you ... hopefully one day I will get the full album out! And if not, well there will be many more SoS compilations to come, I'm sure! Enjoy!! .. SunSpire xx
