Isn't it the easiest thing in the world to forget all about the good? While days just seem to merge into one another. How we sort of slide out of focus, losing our connection. And at the same time, memories start seeping through. The good, the bad and every form of inbetween. What you did, and didn't do. What you had, who you lost. As if we've all been handed this extra time on our own, filled with mirrors and shadows. It's too easy to get lost here. To start focusing in on all the "not so good". The shoulda-woulda-couldas. Forced long hard looks inside, since the outside has become the masked villain.

So here is a thought; Maybe this is a good thing? Maybe this has been long over due? Maybe all this is a rare opportunity to dig into the rubble and do some spring cleaning. Air out all that pestering, old murky smell. So much of all that once was, no longer serving you. And this business is not nice or pleasant. Not by a long shot. Pulling weeds seldom is. But maybe you forgot you are the gardner? The janitor. The go to guy in charge of both storage and maintenance. So do the work. Get involved. Dig deep and get rid of it. And be grateful for those past harsh teachers who helped you get here. If nothing else, the future deserves our best. I mean, really, who doesn't love a beautiful garden in the summer? Filled with potential for lovely new memories. A place for friends, both old and new. Isn't that how all things bloom? A place to grow. A place to meet. A place to rest. A place to stay.
