This track came about as a coincidence. I had initially planned a retro synthwave track for a game, but somehow this happy and funky song grew instead. I’m a sucker for 80s bell-stack arpeggios and punchy in your face drums. The AstroFlux-like SAW brass fits perfectly and with a sprinkle of Roland D and U series afro muted guitars and slap bass teamed up well in the overall mix. Basically a lot of ReFX Nexus2, Vengeance samples and outboards like XS-7, MotifRack, TX-81z, JD-800, XP-80, JV-2080, CM-32P/MT-32, U-110, D-110 and mikroKORG. Recorded and mixed in Digital Performer 8 and on Yamaha LS9-32 digital mixing console.
